Our vision
Our vision is to provide a safe, supportive and highly personalised learning environment where every young person has the tools and confidence to succeed academically, socially and emotionally.
We believe education should be holistic and adaptable, centred on the needs and potential of each student. Our ethos is built on inclusion, flexibility and high expectations. We don't just accommodate students who have struggled in mainstream settings; we help them thrive.

All our staff are qualified teachers with Assistant Headship experience. We prioritise learning and progress.
Our fully qualified SENCO has over 25 years' experience supporting social, emotional, behavioural and mental health needs.
Placements of a term or more for students who need a consistent setting, with a personal curriculum and pathways to qualifications.
Short placements to re-engage students in crisis or at risk of exclusion: stabilising behaviour and rebuilding confidence.

Who we support
Every pupil has an education, health and care plan. We particularly support three areas of need.
Support for pupils who find it hard to understand language or express themselves, built into every lesson.
Predictable routines, a quiet building and staff who understand sensory and social needs.
Therapeutic support, a separate intervention room and a focus on confidence, resilience and wellbeing.
Learning at the school
Years 7 to 11, taught by qualified teachers with a special educational needs coordinator on the team.

Every pupil is assessed when they join, including their reading, so teaching begins from what they already know.
Many pupils have spent time out of education. Foundational skills, including a phonics programme, help them catch up.
Detailed schemes of work for each subject from Year 7 to Year 11 tell teachers what to teach, and in what order.
Pupils work towards GCSE qualifications where appropriate, with alternative pathways for those at earlier stages of learning.
PSHE, relationships and sex education, assemblies and visits that build confidence and understanding of life in modern Britain.
Personalised pathways, unbiased guidance and experience of the world of work help pupils choose what comes next.
Our setting
Pupils arrive by a quieter side road. Inside, the school is calm, light and designed for the number of pupils it serves.
